Zoho email set up

    Hi,

I have followed the steps to verify my domain as per zoho’s instructions:

General Instructions for creating CNAME in any Domain Manager:

The general steps to validate your Domain using CNAME method are listed below. If your Specific provider is listed above, you can use the link to follow the specific instructions for the provider.
Log in to your account with your Domain registrar. (Your Domain’s Administrative DNS Host).
Open your Domain Management Page to update the DNS Records (DNS Manager or DNS Control Pane or Advanced DNS editor).
Locate the option to add CNAME records (Generally found under DNS Records, you can also consult the help page of your registrar in case you are not clear).
In the Name/ Host/ Alias/ CNAME add the code generated in Zoho zb********
In the Value/ Points To/ Destination field add zmverify.zoho.com
The added CNAME will typically look like below:
    Name/ Host/ Alias/ CNAME

    zb********
    Value/ Points To/ Destination
    zmverify.zoho.com
If the TTL is editable, reduce the TTL to 300 seconds or the minimum possible value recommended by your Registrar.
Click Save or Add Record option to save the CNAME Records.

I have also deleted any of the old google
by going to dashboard > store> my domains > edit domain > edit DNS and deleting the CNAME and MX configurations for my old google set up.

    This is what now remains:

    DNS

    Existing DNS Records
    A sunshine-cleaning.org handled by WordPress.com
    NS sunshine-cleaning.org handled by WordPress.com
    CNAME *.sunshine-cleaning.org handled by WordPress.com
MX (email visible only to moderators and staff) mail handled by mx.zohomail.com. with priority 10
MX (email visible only to moderators and staff) mail handled by mx2.zohomail.com. with priority 20
    CNAME zb14142318.sunshine-cleaning.org alias of zmverify.zoho.com.

I have waited 4-5 hours but in my soho account there is still a warning triangle containing an exclamation point under status.

When I send mail, it does not reach the soho inbox. Please help.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer.

    Hi there,

It looks like your DNS records have been changed since you last wrote in, and they appear to be mostly correct. There was one TXT record which was not correct at all, but it was basically a repeat of the other one so I went ahead and removed it.

Your DNS looks like it should now work to point towards a typical email server. It should be noted that .org domains take up to a full 24 hours for propagation still, unlike .coms and .nets which can propagate inside of a few hours. You may need to be patient for this email to work correctly.

In either case, as long as the MX records which were original provided are correct you should be good to go!
