Zone record add to mapping a ccTLDs domain
-
Dear Sirs,
WordPress.com does not permit mapping by setting an A record to point to an IP address. I cant’ fill the “add IP Addresses” fold in nameserver settings.
How can i point my domain’s name servers to my blog on wordpress without IP addresses?
Domain is registered with GoDaddy: ilritornante.it
My blog on wordpress is actually: ilritornante.wordpress.comThank you
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
WordPress.com does not provide any means by which you can point your domain name towards our servers using only an IP address. You must change your domain’s nameservers to ours, which are:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COM
Once you make that change, you’ll need to allow between 1 and 72 hours for propagation to occur and for you to see your site to show up when you visit your domain.

I can’t change nameservers with godaddy until i got wordpress IP.address. I got a cctlds domain (ilritornante.it) and i need both, nameservers and ip address to complete the mapping process.
I have alredy bought the worspress mapping purchase.
I’m stuck, what should i do? -
You should not need to create nameservers, which is generally why you would add an IP in conjunction with a nameserver.
If the rules of your particular ccTLD requires the IP of a nameserver however, I’ve done an A record lookup for our nameservers, and these are the current results:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM – 72.233.69.14
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM – 69.174.248.148
NS3.WORDPRESS.COM – 207.198.112.47

Thank you so much amightywp.
Those IP address will change in future? There is no other way to manage a safe mapping from a .it domain? -
Yes, those IPs may change. If you notice any problems in the future, just get in touch with us and we’ll provide you with the updated IP addresses.
