Zone record for a domain

Please, I’d like a domain mapping from “www.sofacompet.com.br” to “www.sofacompet.wordpress.com”. I need a zone record for this domain, because I am getting an error in DNS registration.

I think what you are looking for here is a “CNAME” record. That will point a subdomain (i.e. www) to another site (i.e. sofacompet.wordpress.com).
I should mention that this requires a special subscription on WordPress.com, if you go into your WP admin site under Store, then Add a Domain, then Mapping, you can purchase this feature. Otherwise when you add the CNAME record it will not function correctly.
If you need some assistance setting up the CNAME record I would be happy to help, just let me know who your domain registrar is and I’ll post you some instructions.

You’ll also need to update your name servers through your registrar. You should set them to:
ns1.wordpress.com
ns2.wordpress.com
ns3.wordpress.comThere’s no need to use a CNAME record. In these cases, a user will change their name servers, so that we can handle the www and bare domain redirect automatically.
