@zmika: As you’ll see, this type of thing requires the Custom Design upgrade. And it can’t be used with the main images on Duotone in particular (except maybe with a lot of extra coding to override the quirky way Duotone works).
@Tess: zmika’s question and your suggesting my post gave me the idea for a new post! The technique I created can be used to change anything to anything when you hover over it, so it can be used to zoom from a thumbnail to its full-width version, but the content that follows the thumbnail will move below the full-width version. For a zooming image, I think it would be better if the content stayed in place and the full-width image showed in front of it. Tell me if you agree please!

@panos,
Yes it could work, though I’m not quite following you enough to do it myself without some trials. You are talking about a variation of what a lightbox does, without it being an overlay? yes or no? Might-could-be going to work tomorrow will be fun enough in order to experiment… Or am I not understanding? -

The technique shown in my “rollover” post makes the second image show in place of the first; so if the two images have different dimensions the surrounding content will be displaced accordingly. For zoom images, yes, I’m thinking of an overlay.
