Zoren: Gallery Slideshow in Sidebar on Pages

Hey gang, I really like the featured (and free!) blue color theme available for the Zoren theme and changed my demo site to it, but then noticed an oddity with the Gallery slideshow in the sidebar either as a Gallery widget or as the shortcode in a Text Widget on Pages.

On the Posts/Home page there’s no frame around the Gallery slideshow, but on Pages there is a dark gray frame around the slideshow. If you look at my About Page, the Gallery widget displays white “corners”.

Can this be fixed behind the scenes so that the Gallery in a sidebar displays like it does on the Posts page, clean from any frame? TIA

Chrome 43.0.2357.130 m/Win7Pro if you need to know.

Hi Jen,

What you’re seeing is the white background of the widget content area showing through.
The Gallery Widget fills the available space but as it has rounded corners you see the white through.

Styles are being loaded on the front page to remove the padding and border of the gallery widget. However, these are not being applied to the single view of posts/page.

I have opened a ticket with the theme folks and will update this thread when I hear back.

A few options to fix it with CSS would be:

1) Remove the border from the slideshow:
```
.slideshow-window {
  background: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0) none repeat scroll 0 0;
  border: 0 none;
}
```
2) Set the background color of the widget to the dark grey background color of the widget area:
```
.widget.widget-gallery {
  background: #222;
}
```
Here is the styles that are only being loaded on the front page for some reason:
```
.widget-gallery .widget-gallery-slideshow {
  margin: 0;
  padding: 0;
}

.slideshow-window {
  background: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0) none repeat scroll 0 0;
  border: 0 none;
}
```

@bdukes – Thanks for letting the Theme folks know and I hope they will be able to make the widget display in this theme more uniform.

Being that this is strictly a test site, I would not spring for an upgrade to tinker with the CSS. Nevertheless I appreciate your suggestions and I’m sure someone will be able to use that info in the future. :)

Actually it looks like ALL the Gallery slideshows in Zoren are now free of their background frames. :D
