Zoren Theme: Images on Pages

    Hello,

I have a predicament I haven’t been able to figure out, despite Googling the situation multiple times. I’ve set the featured image for all of my posts, which, on the front page and category pages, looks excellent.

However, these images do not show up the same way on individual pages. I’d like to have an image in the same place on each individual page, but can’t figure out how to get the featured image to show up on individual pages.

As a secondary attempt to get images on pages, I’ve tried inserting images into the bodies of an individual page, which I think works well enough (even though not as neat-looking as it is when it shows up as a featured image on the front page). However, the problem is that when you view the front page or category pages, you see both the featured image and the image I’ve put into the body. I’ve taken out the body images to avoid this repetition.

The only solution I can figure out is putting the body images back in and taking out the featured images altogether. But I like the way featured images look better than body images. Is there any way to set this up to have featured images appear in individual pages as well? Thanks!

In your case, you could use the “more” tag after a few lines of your post, which will then show a truncated version of your post on your site’s front/home page, category, archives and authors pages and then under the more tag re-insert the featured image as an image. That way when someone clicks on the “read more” link from the front page, they will see the image again and the rest of your post and it will keep the additional image off the front/home page.
