ZUKI- A few issues
-
hi there, I recently bought a new theme Zuki and am hoping that you can help me fix a few teething problems;
1. I need the posts to be centralised; when clicked on in the home page the post page should be central including the images etc.
2. bigger images to fit the width of the post page
3. the footer section; i would like to upload my instagram feed on this part at the moment it is in a part where i should have other posts but i would like to have my instagram in the footer, as it currently shows and to have an image in the background.
4. Header- I cannot find an option to upload a header and I would like some help with this.
5. In the related section beneath each post I would also like to have this central aligned. Thanks so much in advance for your help

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

1 and 5, try the following custom CSS:
@media screen and (min-width: 1023px) { .single-post #primary { width: 80%; float: right; } }2, Are you happy with the image width after applying the above CSS?
3, Did you try adding Instagram widget to one of the five footer areas Zuki provides?
4, Zuki does not support blog header image. This is why I believe there is no Header option in the Customizer.

hi thanks for responding.
1&5&2- could these sections be wider please?
3- I have, but as it stands it only allows this to spread on one part of the footer not wide spread like it is now on the bottom section, if there is an option to get the images spread like that on the footer area, so it takes up all the space on the footer that would be much appreciated.
4- how do i embed one pinterest board on the blog? is that possible.
thank so much for your help. I had all these codes before but when i applied them to this new theme it didn’t work hence.
thanks

Zuki premium theme specific support forum is perhaps the best place to get the best possible solution for 1,2 and 5.
3- If you could add the widget, we can try some custom CSS to test if we can arrange the images the way we want.
4- Embed from Pinterest support document is a good place to start.
The custom CSS is theme specific as the CSS selectors are different across the themes. For this reason, CSS doesn’t work across the themes.

got it. thanks.
I have added the widgets, if its possible to get this across the footer, smaller images than before, even better.
aside- the lines that separate the posts etc, is it possible to get these in a different colour than grey?
I would also like to accent the menu option, so a different colour for hover, a different colour when you go to the menu page. could you help with this.thanks so much

I am sorry, it is too late in the night in this part of the world.
I will get back to this tomorrow if no other volunteer hasn’t helped you by then :-)

Change the border colors to green (change green to whatever color / color code you wish).
#comments h3.comments-title, #colophon, #primary h3.blog-title, #primary h1.archive-title, .template-front .widget-area, .page .site-content .page, .search-no-results .site-content .page, .default-sidebar, #front-sidebar-one, #front-sidebar-two, .nav-wrap, #infinite-handle, .single-post .post .entry-header, .archive .site-content .post, .blog .site-content .post, .single-post .site-content .post, .site-content .type-attachment, .search-results .site-content .page, .widget-area .widget { border-color: green; } .flexslider .rp-big-one-content { border-top: 1px solid green; }Menu hover color:
#site-nav ul li a:hover, #site-nav ul li:hover > ul, #site-nav li:hover > a { background: red; }Zuki doesn’t have a style for active menu item so it is difficult to style the active menu differently.
For Instagram widget, first make the number of columns to 1 on thw widget and then use this style:
.wpcom-instagram-images { overflow: hidden; display: flex; }This may not be the best style and this may not work across all the browsers, but just try and see how it goes.
It is difficult to stop doing something you love :-)
