Bio
This blog is about childhood trauma, its effects and from how it can be recovered. Posts cover various related topics and are wtitten in a user-friendly style.
A sufferer of extreme childhood trauma myself, I experienced psychological difficulties in adulthood as a result.
I studied Psychology at University to develop a fuller understanding of the implications of what had happened to me in my own childhood, gaining both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in the subject. Then, after a further year's study, in which I gained a post-graduate teaching qualification, qualifying me to teach at University level, again specializing in Psychology, I went on to lecture in the subject for many years.
I have had a particular interest in childhood trauma (the study of which formed the basis of my undergraduate thesis), its effects and from how it can be recovered. I now devote myself to research of this very important subject to continue to help myself and others.
My aim is to make my blog as accessible as possible and no academic knowledge of Psychology is assumed.
This blog has posts added frequently and is updated several times per week.
Thank you for visiting my blog and please browse my posts. I hope you find them helpful.
Best wishes, David Hosier BSc Hons; MSc; PGDE(FAHE).
