Learning to truly live has been a gradual process for me. My first experiment was when I was 11-years-old. I told my parents I wanted to take piano lessons. A week later, I sat in front of the piano. It was the first time I realized I could go after what I truly wanted, but more than that, I learned the sheer joy of feeling alive and honoring a moment. Many years later, I was about to graduate from college, and I felt that same desire to experience life. Life took me to China, where I lived for almost 3 years. Riding my bike amidst a menagerie of millions while singing out loud. That was living. I returned to the States almost 3 years ago and realized that life is not always in the big things.
