Bio
We're mid (Matt) and late (Fleur) forties working Londoners. We're Monday to Friday-ers. On week days we leave the house between 6 and 8am and return home between 7 and 9pm. We commute about 1 to 1.5 hours each way each day in a city of over 8 million people. This is many peoples lives and this is our life.
Last year we decided, and managed to arrange logistically and financially, to take a six month sabbatical. No Monday to Friday. No 'work' for half a year.
For four of those months we're travelling the West Coast of the USA.
It's about 40 years late in terms of when the West Coast and those road tripping on it were making (cool) history. And its about twenty five years late in terms of our chronological lives, we should be twenty surely to 'road trip'... Nevertheless we're doing it.
Our cats are being fed and watered by the people renting our home in Peckham and so we are free to roam...
These pages are some notes about where we've been and what we've seen - written to remind us and to let family and close friends know what we've been up to.
