Bio
I am a physician-scientist and professor of medicine at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, USA. I was born and raised in Düsseldorf, Germany where I also went to medical school. After spending time as house officer in Great Britain, I came to the US in 1995 and completed my medical training in San Diego, Philadelphia, Dallas, and Baltimore. As practicing cardiologist, I am aware of the close connection between heart disease and our emotional state which sparked my interest in the concept of love and its impact on human life. I spent considerable time developing a focused view about love and disentangling it from various other aspects of life with the hope to make love more attainable to anybody.
