Bio
I live in Cardiff-by-the-Sea with seven cats, a desert tortoise, seven box turtles, and a German Shepherd, who looks like Rin Tin Tin. A late comer to academia (Ph.D. from the University of California, San Diego), I teach history at California State College, San Marcos. Before that I was a free-lance writer. I am close to finishing a biography of Rin Tin Tin (1918-1932), the movie star and am in the process of publishing Dog Park, a book of short stories with a common cast of characters.
