Bio
I am a teacher of English as a foreign language and I live in Argentina. I have been teaching English to kids, teens and adult learners for quite some time now. In 2014 I opened my own private school of English in Totoras, my hometown, called JUMP into the world. As headteacher, I have been in charge of coursebook selection for my groups (among other duties, of course), which means I have become quite knowledgeable about what works and what doesn´t when it comes to materials used in class. More recently, when the pandemic started to be exact, I happened to spend lots of time on the computer. It was then that I realized how enjoyable I found exploring and using tools on the Internet, making videos and tutorials for my students and, above all, creating worksheets to be used online.
I started following ELT material writers to see what the work consisted of. Also, I am currently doing a course on “Writing ELT materials”, run by John Hughes and Katherine Bilsborough - highly recommende!
Many questions keep popping up and I know I still have a long discovery journey ahead in the field, but there is one thing I am pretty sure about: writing EFL materials is something I would love to explore and I am eager to learn what it takes to become better at it.
If you happen to see what I publish here and you find it useful, I would appreaciate any comments or feedback you can give me. Many thanks!
