Bio
I obtained my Biochemist and Molecular Biology Degree at Autonomous University of Barcelona on 2002 and on 2006 I got my PhD on the same field at the same university. After having worked for a couple of years there as a research technician, I moved to Institute for Research in Biomedicine in Barcelona.

I am an outdoors enthusiast. I have been carrying outdoor activities since I can remember. With my parents we used to spend the holidays at the mountains, hiking and climbing the highest mountains there. Then I learnt to appreciate what the mountains are and what they involved. As I grew up I became more interested in learning more about the flora and fauna that the mountains harbour. Finally, I became really interested mainly in birds, trying to know more about them and to see as many species as possible around the world. I never gave up hiking at the mountains, and lately I added rock climbing to my favorite disciplines.
I am also very interested in music. I started learning classic guitar at the age of 9, and, even if I stopped when I went to the university, I continued playing for me and my friends. Some years ago I became more interested in traditional music, learning to play traditional instruments such as the gralla or tarota (traditional Catalan oboes) or flabiol i tamborí, a traditional Catalan three-holes flute played with the left hand while the right one plays a tambourine.
