Bio
As a design advocate and a doer in life, I'm constantly moving forward and discovering how to hone in, on how I like to share my knowledge and insight with interior design.
If there is one thing my life has proved, is how perseverance and resilience need to be the cornerstone when building a desired niche in life. With that said, let this next level begin.
Design, specifically interiors, has been the one constant in my life for a very long time. I have a great passion for watching something come to life from just a vision. I think of myself as a visual storyteller-as a designer, artist, and writer. I have personally experienced many facets of interior design, and discovered that there are just somethings about design that I have very little time and patience for. The beauty of those experiences, has allowed me to understand what I really enjoy the most, and that is consulting. I love to work one-on-one with a client exchanging ideas on their interior design projects. So many today love to create their own spaces. That is why I have created one more step I feel to help bridge that gap between a client with their needed questions and concerns, and me a designer that can help prevent costly mistakes.
Whatever title you carry (interior designer, interior decorator, home stylist) or desired specialty. I think it's really important to find your niche in the design world, and be the best at that! For me, my specialties when it comes to design (in other words, my favorites) are space planning-especially for small spaces, furniture and accessory placement. I truly feel that everything is the art of placement. It doesn't matter where you get it, it's what you do with it, that will make or break a room. I like to leave the rules for construction and configuration. When setting the style or presentation of a room, breaking rules is what creates a unique finger print in the space. Calculated designs can be safe and contrived.
