Bio
Rev. Micah James is an ordained minister with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). As a part of this ministry, Micah utilizes her creative and administrative gifts as she facilitates ministry programs and events for the church community.
Micah is a life long Disciple of Christ, with ministry experience at all levels of the denomination. Micah has a background as a middle school teacher, graduating from TCU in 2005 with her Bachelor of Science in Education. Micah graduated with her Masters of Divinity from Brite Divinity School (TCU) in May 2012, and during her seminary career received The Barbara and Curtis Keith, Jr. Student Ministry Award (2011) and The Colby D. Hall Award (2012) given to a promising Disciples graduating senior.
Micah has recently completed a certificate program through the NACBA (National Association of Church Administrators or “The Church Network”) in Church Business Administration, and feels a strong call to work in the areas of stewardship and mission. She feels strongly in the importance of the ministry of administration and stewardship as it strengthens the greater work of the church. Over the past few years, Micah, in collaboration with her father, Rev. Mike Hunter, have been invited to give several education seminars on administrative issues facing ministers and churches.
