Bio
50-ish father of three, Cambridge-educated management consultant and investment manager. Still recovering from disastrous but enlightening involvement with Russian oligarchs. Therefore writing, teaching, walking, riding and enjoying time with brilliant children rather than sitting in an office.
Normal obsessions with cricket, dogs and horses, politics, sailing small boats, interesting wines and books of all sorts. Also an appropriately depressed follower of QPR.
Inconveniently, economically and fiscally right but socially left - so often at odds with party orthodoxies. A greater fan of American politics than the British sandpit.
A frequent and delighted visitor to Guatemala and Central America, Nevis and the Caribbean, Botswana and Southern Africa, Provence and rural France. I would like to explore more of Asia and Australasia soon.
Greatest achievement: three extraordinary kind and clever children who look as though they are variously developing in to a fine opening batsman, a prime minister and a film star. They all seem to be comedians, although of widely differing styles.
