Bio

I am an author and activist that studies and writes about the intersection of passionate social change efforts and social media. My first book, the award-winning Momentum: Igniting Social Change in the Connected Age, was published by Jossey-Bass/Wiley in 2006. I am also the co-editor of Rebooting America, an anthology on the future of democracy in the connected age, and Social Citizens a paper commissioned by The Case Foundation on young people using social media for social change. I am currently a Senior Fellow at Demos: A Network of Ideas and Action.
