Bio
I want to work together with local health organizations and initiatives to increase awareness of health risks and to enable prevention for chronic disease including, but not limited to, obesity, cancer, and heart disease. Each year approximately 2,000 people in Sedgwick County alone are diagnosed with cancer. Obesity rates are on the rise all over the nation. Preventative health is the solution to controlling chronic disease. In fact, it is estimated that 70% of chronic disease is preventable with proper lifestyle modification. Only if people decide to take control of their own health and begin to take small steps for lifestyle change can these numbers be overcome.
