Hey there,
I am Amanda - born in Seoul, South Korea, adopted at 18-months and now living in the United States.
My passion in life is to seek understanding. I am always seeking more meaning, depth, connection within myself and with others. The more I realize it's an ever-evolving journey, the more I have an itch to share my journey and experiences with the rest of the world.
You might ask 'Why share this for everyone to see? Isn't that vulnerable?' Yes, it sure is! A few reasons I want to create this blog… 1) I have an awful memory so keeping this as a record and seeing where I'm growing and progressing is important. Perhaps I can re-learn something from my previous self.. reminders area always nice. 2) My thoughts, feelings, vulnerabilities and understandings/findings seem to reveal themselves through writing. So the more I write, the more I discover and understand. 3) We all yearn to connect. Connect within ourselves, with others, our loved ones. Perhaps sharing my ideas, thoughts, vulnerabilities, emotions, adventures etc. can help create a better connection within yourself and how it pertains to your life.
So the purpose of this blog isn't to sugar coat any sort of experiences in my life and provide any 'motivational' type messaging but to always seek understanding and allow myself to learn, grow and develop in to more ME.
