Bio
Domonique Meeks is currently a second year Masters of Science Information Management graduate student at the University of Washington. He works part time as the Student Development Coordinator at the University of Washington’s Ethnic Cultural Center and thrives to connect students with resources and opportunities they need to be successful. Domonique has a passion for storytelling and cinematography. He particularly enjoys topics of identity, and community. He is a Central Washington University alumn where he studied Criminal Justice and Sociology which taught him the importance of collaboration and intersectionalities across race, gender, sexual orientation and the important role that social economics plays in our everyday lives. Domonique has a strong interest in technology access. He is a self-trained photographer and videographer who uses storytelling as a way to fight for social justice and share the stories of under-represented communities. He is an enthusiastic individual that loves history, politics, and social media. Domonique loves to travel and gladly shares his photographs, videos, and journals. His goal is to see the world and believes each individual should take advantage of opportunities to explore and travel while documenting their stories.
