Bio
Ambika works in ING´s Sustainable Finance team which drives the mainstreaming of sustainable business opportunities in the Wholesale Banking portfolio. Her team designs innovative financial solutions and works with clients and experts to accelerate transitions to more sustainable business practices. She leads ING’s efforts on Water which is one of the focus areas with energy transitions and circular economy.
Ambika has recently completed her Master in Sustainability Leadership from Cambridge University which helps her to lead change and effectively respond to the economic, social and environmental challenges facing the world.
Prior to this, Ambika was with ING’s Corporate Credit Risk Management department where she gained an in-depth understanding of capital drivers, risk measurement and risk managements actions aimed at mitigating risks.
After obtaining her International Business degree from the U.S., Ambika worked in sales for a Wall Street forex company. She then returned to her home city- Mumbai, India, as a journalist for Bloomberg News, before moving to ING Netherlands in 2010.
