Bio
How do you do? My name is Ammber (that's right with a double m) and I am a Graphic Artist, Mum and Designer/Co-Founder of My Arkadia http://www.myarkadia.com.au. I live on the Gold Coast where I have worked in graphics, fashion and music design for over ten years. I've been a part of the design teams for fashion labels such as Billabong and 2Chillies Swimwear, completed freelance projects for local businesses, local and national artists such as Clare Bowditch, Mia Dyson, Lior and Ash Grunwald, my designs have been published in magazines like Frankie, JMag and Australian Musicians Magazine, and I'm a Big Hearted Business Scholarship winner. I have a love of yardage and t-shirt prints which I get to indulge with my label. It was whilst working in a wildlife sanctuary for a few years that the resident graphic artist helped me refine my illustration skills and opened my eyes to the wonderful world of graphic design.
I love to draw, grow things, make things, question things, op shop, play, design, watch movies, make playlists, daydream, reminisce, cook, write, read, explore, travel and laugh.
This is my space to share my design journey, the story behind the designs and at times, little musings on life and other cool stuff I think you'll like. I hope you will find it a source of inspiration and a little ray of sunshine in your day.
