Bio
The inspiration to put my thoughts into a blog came from hundreds of candid conversations about life, parenthood, personal challenges and learning through experiences - and how this journey has so many different highs and lows.
My thoughts will take me in many different directions because just like everyone, there are many sides to "Amy", and many roles that I fill (mom, wife, chiropractor, health advocate, sister, daughter, speaker and writer... just to name a few) But none of these roles of what I DO defines me. I am me. And I am committed to being the most real "me' that I can be.
I believe that who I am as a person precedes who I am in any of my other roles and that there is power in being vulnerable. And so, I commit to sharing my thoughts - at my best and worst - because I also know that it helps when we know that we are not alone.
If you're looking to find me - I spend most of my time with my husband Dean, and our kids, Ethan and Audra - or working with families in my chiropractic practice, The Lifehouse, in Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia. If I'm not there, you'll likely find me hiking with our dog Ruby, at our family's cottage or somewhere outside in beautiful nature.
