My name is Anastasia, and Trust Your Body Wisdom is a weight inclusive practice created to help you heal your relationship with food, so you can feel in charge of your eating decisions without relying on diets or rules.
If you are someone that struggles with feeling out of control around food- this space is for you. If you feel like the only way to be "in control" is to go back on another diet, but you've done that ALL YOUR LIFE, and you're sick and tired of "failing" the diets and regaining the weight, you're at the right place.
Diets are designed to fail us. I personally dieted since I was 17. It lead to binge eating episodes, and eventually bulimia nervosa and chronic yo-yo dieting. Even when I learnt all there was about nutrition while studying a Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics, I was struggling - the more education on food the more I analyzed and micromanaged my eating.
Knowledge didn't heal my relationship! I didn't know how to trust my body or my choices around food. I felt alone, worried, anxious and like a failure.
Mindful and intuitive eating changed my life; I became more connected to my body and intuition, I started trusting myself more and started living more aligned to my values (instead of people pleasing or falling victim to diet culture!). Also, I noticed that my perfectionistic tendencies (that kept me anxious and stuck in freeze, fight, flee mode) started to dissipate - instead I started becoming more compassionate towards myself.
True health is created from a place of trust, connection and care.
Embracing and trusting your body and choosing to nourish yourself authentically is the most radical thing you can do. And it's liberating! It frees up your life energy so you can do all the things you truly crave. Plus you no longer obsess about what to eat or your weight - can you imagine that?
My training is super mixed and all geared toward self healing. I'm a Dietitian and Nutrition Therapist (MSc) and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, and have also trained in Mindfulness and Eating Psychology.
