Bio
Zeena Zaiyouna has completed university studies in Denmark, Spain, and Canada and has trained teachers and taught artistic interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary based educational concepts on four continents. Her ongoing integral ambition is to research customary innovative artistic learning and functional movement spaces to inspire newer generations to experience their world differently. New artistic practices involving youth can help influence educational policies globally, and it is this core belief that inspires Zeena to continue to develop highly creative youth engagement programs and curriculum that connects to creative ways for teaching instructional design and designing thought leadership based programming.
Zeena is a consultant who delivers learning programs that influence how people think about the scenarios, issues and spaces impacting their lives. Zeena has experience working in International Development and has developed training and learning development content specific to the context of corporate (ops) training and development course modules, all the way to research and education in emergency situations (i.e. ebola and psychological and social training). She hopes her background knowledge, skills and experience can lend to the quality of education and support exploring new areas of study in the near future.
As a thought leader in 21st Century Education, Zeena's curiousity led her to study the perplex of the shifting values in national education systems globally. Completing a Masters in Lifelong Learning in Copenhagen, Denmark and Deusto University in Bilbao, Spain (2010), she wrote extensively about the demands of industry and mode II knowledge production and how this has influenced the trajectory of global development and the deconstruction of education today.
