Bio
Hello, welcome to my new blog! I’m a person interested in so many subjects and topics that I spend time on the internet and in libraries, bookshops, art galleries and museums around the south San Francisco Bay area researching. I am also a writer, poet, and book reviewer; I have begun a new webpage, Notes from the Reader’s Nook under my pen name, Karen Virginia Flaxman.
Why that pen name? Karen is a favorite first name of mine. Virginia is my greatly missed mother’s first name. Flaxman is my grandmother’s maiden name. So there you go!
In addition, I create and market my own jewely. My jewelry is created using genuine semi-precious or precious gemstones, real pearls, sterling silver or Hilltribe (Thai) silver, gold vermeil or gold-plated components. So much fun!!
