Bio
Robert Starkweather was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He got his first newspaper job in the mailroom at Public News, an independently owned newsweekly, in 1990. He left seven years later as the Associate Publisher and moved to San Francisco, where he worked for the SF Weekly. After a year in the corporate media machine, Robert traveled to Southeast Asia for a year of adventure and enlightenment. He has lived ever since in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, where he has worked for publications such as the Phnom Penh Post, The Advisor, The Mekong Review, and The Cambodia Daily, among others.
