Bio
Arline has extensive experience building brands at a big box retailer as well as at marketing and manufacturing firms which has given her a unique 360° understanding of the product life-cycle from concept through production to retail. Hands-on during all phases of brand development, Arline has managed cross-functional teams in the U.S. and Asia, creating new product concepts, initiating marketing strategies, and executing retail merchandising programs to meet revenue goals while consistently maintaining oversight of key dates and budget.
At publisher Highlights for Children, Arline is working with manufacturers to develop retail products for the company’s first licensing initiative. Prior to this, at Li & Fung, she created merchandise programs for Target, Toys ‘R’ Us and Walmart. As Vice President, Product Development & Marketing for specialty gift manufacturer Russ Berrie, Arline set the marketing direction for all global products, increasing consumer impressions to over 100 million per year. As a Global Brand Director at Toys ‘R’ Us, she conceived and executed the launch of private label products and proprietary lines such as Imaginarium, Animal Planet, and The Home Depot – some of the retailer’s most enduring brands – and received the President’s Award for outstanding achievement.
Arline has provided strategic direction on leading consumer brands, receiving multiple awards and honors. She has also served as the President of a 500-member trade association and as Chairperson of a charitiable organization.
