Bio
Passionate about art and learning! Recently graduated from Leeds University with a History of Art degree, I am thus always looking to expand my knowledge upon the art world.
As an intern writing for Art Radar, I am learning more about the Asian art market which builds upon my area of interest. I am interested in the art of non-European cultures, such as Buddhist art, Islamic Art, African Art, Orientalism, and the Japanese Edo period. I wrote my dissertation upon Cambodian cultural history, discussing the photographs taken of Cambodian prisoners during the 1975-79 Cambodian genocide.
I also an interested in aesthetic debates, such as Kant and Plato discussing what makes art beautiful and literary figures such as Theodor Adorno and Walter Benjamin’s discussions on the culture industry.
I paint in my spare time, creating vibrant abstract canvases of different perspective views of London, using 1950’s textiles inspiring my colour palette.
At present, I am looking to gain further work experience by interning in an art gallery or interning at a fine art auctioneers in London
