Bio
This is my personal/professional blog. It reflects but does not mimic the articles that I write for icondia.com. I am the Chief Legal Officer for the Guernsey based Image Rights company, icondia. I have brought icondia to the United States and am the CEO of icondia LLC in New Orleans, Louisiana.
I am a dual qualified lawyer in Louisiana and the UK. My specialisms include Entertainment Law, Intellectual Property, Information Technology, International Trade, and Criminal Law. I am the author of “Law and Order in Virtual Worlds: Exploring Avatars, their Ownership and Rights”. I was in international hospitality management before practicing law. More recently, I have been an international legal academic and intellectual property consultant. I hold two Masters degrees with distinction in Business & Management (Schiller International University) as well as in Commercial Law (University of Aberdeen). I obtained my Juris Doctorate at Loyola University, New Orleans and my PhD from Queen Mary, University of London. I am co-author of the 4th edition of “Intellectual Property: Text and Essential Cases” (Australia) and former Editor of the International Journal of Intellectual Property Management.
