AVANT GUISE developed from a desire for interdisciplinary interaction between schools and departments; in particular art & art professions, theater, dance, and music. The club’s main objectives are to:
Forge relationships between various disciplines within the NYU community
Bring awareness and interest to the scholarship of dress
Create a judgment-free environment promoting dialogue between students concerning fashion issues
Sponsor costume oriented events, outings and socials
