Mission
Our mission is to offer our customers the best banking experience possible. We believe that is done through having relationships with our customers and communities. Locally owned, BankTexas is a bank that cares about the East Texas communities we serve.
Company Overview
BankTexas is a community bank focused on "helping you live well" through world-class service, convenience, and community support. It is unique among financial institutions in that it is owned by local shareholders. It operates locations in Holly Lake Ranch, Kilgore, Lindale, Longview, Mineola, Quitman, Tyler, and online at www.BankTexas.org.
General Information
We trace our roots to the 1890s, when William Lloyd founded a little bank on Quitman’s courthouse square. He treated his customers like family, earning the nickname “Uncle Bill.”
As Uncle Bill’s little bank grew and prospered, the goal wasn’t to be the biggest bank in the world, but to offer the best customer experience possible. Today, one of the ways we do that is by remaining tightly tied to our communities. We contributed time and money to local organizations, and our profits go to local shareholders. We believe that when the community succeeds, we all succeed.
When it comes to banking, we try to treat people like we’ve known them our whole lives — and in many cases, we have. We brew fresh coffee all day long and design our bank stores so they’re fun to visit.
This is how we rose from humble beginnings to where we are today. We wouldn’t have it any other way.
