Bio
I graduated college in Communications with an emphasis in Marketing/Advertising. My first jobs were designing a magazine followed by working for a newspaper conceptualizing and designing ads for businesses. Although I enjoyed the work, it wasn't paying the bills.
That is when I decided to go back to school in something completely different: Healthcare. I moved from my small town in Idaho to Denver, Colorado where I enrolled in a vocational school learning how to be an X-ray Technologist. I loved it. I had never been exposed to healthcare up to this point and my mind was expanding and learning. Throughout that training, I got exposed to other areas of the profession and decided to continue my education and become an Ultrasound Technologist. I moved to Salt Lake City to start taking courses at a college there. I graduated in 2010 and immediately got a job with a big group of hospitals.
Meanwhile, I had got married and started having kids. It broke my heart to return to work and be away from my family after my first baby was born. I was working night shifts and once a week an on-call shift which meant I was stuck at the hospital all night, away from my family. I was also required to work holidays, which is no fun with small children at home who are excited to celebrate.
That is when I decided I needed to work for myself and earn an income from home. I invested in a few companies but ultimately came back full circle and started working for a company I became familiar with in my college days, using my communications and marketing skills I learned from way back then. I can run my business from home while still being home with my kids, while still earning a good income! I love it.
