Bio
I am a 40+ year old wife, mother, and CEO of a company. I love writing! I constantly write stories in my head. If something makes me happy, angers me, bothers me, or if I read something that moves and touches me then I write sentence after sentence in my mind.
These stories are purely from my perspective, my thoughts, opinions and views on that what happens around me. I live in East London, South Africa so what I write is relevant to my home town.
I know that not everyone will agree with what I have written and thats fine - I look forward to active debates, reading and considering opposing viewpoints and of course I welcome feedback, discussions and comments. All I ask is that we don’t get personal and keep it constructive.
I also love reading, knitting, painting (pictures not walls), drinking coffee and the occasional glass of red wine and smoking. I know, I know that I have quite a few vices but sadly my strongest point is procrastination and my weakest point is self-discipline. I am working on turning these around but I keep on telling myself that I’ll make more of an effort tomorrow. Life is short so my latest philosophy is to enjoy those moments that I can.
My first few stories will be sad. Our community was shocked to the core in May 2009 when Wendy Manthe murdered her daughters, Morgan and Willow. I can only say that I was both traumatized and touched by these events and wrote the first story as an attempt to understand why Wendy did what she did. Of course I still don't understand, but after typing up a frenzy decided that I would like to share my thoughts with others. At first I was going to try and publish my articles and then decided to rather start a blog as its so much more interactive and will allow me to share articles on an ongoing basis.
I promise that my future articles will not all be so dark and sad - I'll write something that is hopefully quirky and funny or contraversial in the near future.
My stories are from the heart – it isn’t my intention to distort the truth and I sincerely hope that I haven’t naively done so. As I said before – if you share my views let me know, if you don’t then l look forward
to reading your viewpoint.
