Bio
Margo Pinkerton, a.k.a. The Barefoot Contessa (TBC), got her first camera, a box Brownie, at age eight and has been photographing and traveling with a passion ever since. She has been a location and stock photographer for advertising, corporate, travel, and outdoor clients for close to 30 years, and has given numerous photo workshops and lectures and led many photo adventures, including canoe trips on National Wild and Scenic Rivers north of the Arctic Circle in Alaska.
Her work has appeared in a plethora of calendars, coffee-table books, and magazines worldwide, including GEO and National Geographic Traveler.
Growing up in an artistic family that exposed her to the great museums and painters of the world has given Margo a unique insight into composition and beautiful, natural light.
Joining her in Barefoot Contessa Photo Adventures' regularly-scheduled and private photo workshops is her husband/partner, Arnie Zann, who started out his career with LIFE and Time, National Geographic and Geo, as well as a host of other magazines before turning to corporate work for Fortune 100 and 500 companies.
