Bio

I've been training dogs all my life, and professionally for over 25 years. Like most positive trainers of a certain age, I started out with the old yank-and-crank aversive methods. That changed through 2 decades of learning through conferences, seminars, and workshops with some of the world’s best animal trainers. The science of animal behavior has firmly established that positive is the way to go! The American Veterinary Society for Animal Behavior (AVSAB) as well as all of the most respected animal trainers, canine behaviorists, and trainer-certification organizations now agree that reward-based training is the most humane and effective approach to training any animal.
