Catie Ballard is the author of a middle grade children’s novel—The Improbable Life of Natalie Foster, Orphan, Freak of Nature, and Friend Extraordinaire!—winner of the ALA’s coveted “Most Likely to Lose Children’s Attention Before They Even Finish Reading the Title” award. She used to be an attorney before deciding unpublished novelist-cum-unread blogger was a viable career path. Despite her delusional life choices, Catie has a roof over her head in Chicago, IL, thanks to her gainfully employed husband.
