Bio
I despise writing my own bios and even THAT comment is cliché, as are the comments about how great I am. I'm aging, balding, and I quit smoking way too late to avoid cancer. However, I raised a couple of the best kids a guy could hope to have in his plus column, and I've cultivated a real-life friend list that's worth more than Microsoft. I traded my voice and steady sex for my life but when I sit down to write, I forget that. I've always dug written communication and now I'm damn glad I studied the craft. I get along with people, but I don't get along with authority. If everyone were like that...I get it: the world wouldn't work. But neither would it work if everyone were born blind. I was born unable to take orders. I admire talent and admire myself for recognizing it when I see it. I'm a history junkie with an IV machine that beeps when the feed line is kinked. I play instruments and play around with languages. I'm a wobbly-kneed fool for the mysterious, the spiritual, the ancient knowledge, the world beyond. When people read my writing, I feel indebted for their time. When they like it, I feel blessed. But I always know I can do a lot better. And I will.
