Bio
Writer and freelance journalist, Melissa Kay, is a British ex-pat living in East Africa and spent ten years as an English teacher. She now uses her knowledge of words and children to promote literacy and support families with young children as they discover the joy of stories.
Melissa published her debut picture book 'Hide & Seek Hippo' at the end of 2018. Her young adults' sci-fi novel was shortlisted for the SCBWI's Undiscovered Voices 2016 competition and several short stories have won prizes. Melissa travels as much as she can with two young children and loves photography.
