Bio

I intend to blog about literature, fashion, music, art and interior design. I am interested in the use of fiction in psychotherapy/counselling especially English Literature, African Caribbean and African American fiction. I am a retired Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist, incorporated into the way I worked was an Intercultural approach to therapy, which took note of race, class, gender and sexual identity. I have a background in Social Work and the Criminal Justice System. My specialist areas included understanding people who live with acquired disability and chronic health conditions (including HIV and AIDS), also helping people suffering from work related stress. I am interested in helping people to understand the effect of racism, sexism, disability and intercultural oppression.
