Bio
Manoj Parmar is an Architect and Urban Designer. His academic interests include theoretical writing on Architecture and Urbanism. He has also been in private practice of Architecture, urban design and project management since 1992. He has worked on numerous private and public housing/ institutional commissions across the country. He has been actively involved in re-development projects across the city of Mumbai. His key projects are also executed in Dubai, Malaysia and Singapore. He has been part of Urban Design Team for tourism development plan guidelines for Baticulao, Srilanka & Development guidelines for Slum redevelopment in Northern Suburb of Mumbai. He has presented his work at young architect’s forum at UDRI & CEPT University. He currently engages in Architectural Theory and Research at Post- Graduate level.
He has contributed chapter writing (co-author) on “Unraveling Redevelopment” in book “Trends & Issues in Housing in Asia” published by Routledge, UK. He has also presented and published a paper on “Synchromesh Urbanism” as co-author in an international conference “Entrepreneur Urbanism” in Hong Kong. Recently he co-authored a book titled "Smart City in India, Laboratory, Paradigm or Trejactory" published by Routledge, UK
