Bio
I'm a part-time Drag Queen living in the Frozen North. I sing songs, I write on occasion, I do what I can to help make the world around me a better place than when I found it.
Joyful Nihilist, skeptical theist pagan, 90's animation connoisseur. Grand Duchess of Fairbanks XVII and Regent Duchess of Fairbanks XXVI within the Imperial Court of All Alaska. Matron of the Haus of Ursa Major. Drag Daughter of Needa Little and Michelle Diamond, sister to Charlie Elite Diamond and Penny Dragful Rosa Rotton BokChoy Fusion, Aunt to Poison Grace.
Daughter of the Fifth House, Holder of the Sacred Chalice of Riix, Heir to the Holy Rings of Betazed (if you get that reference, you're my target audience.)
I'm also medically disabled -- when I was in my early 30's, I was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease. My kidneys had been attacked by my own body due to an auto-immune disorder and I underwent years of dialysis, a kidney transplant and continued immune therapies after to ensure my transplant remains stable. I rely on medicare and medicaid to survive -- I make no money on drag, it's a hobby that pays for itself or I simply don't do it. The meager cash tips I get from my limited in person appearances goes towards this web domain and a few online security services and leftovers go to new makeup. I'm not trying to 'win' at drag or redefine the genre; I'm a queer disabled person expressing myself through art.
On a related note, everything I do is just for funsies. If it makes a buck -- great. If it doesn't, that's fine -- I'm making it for me and sharing it in hopes that others enjoy it. I'm not into the whole capitalism "must monetize all of the things you do" mindset - life is too short to spend the whole time grinding. Take it from someone who has been to the jumping off place; nobody on their deathbed wishes they would have worked more.
