Just relaxin' over here in my bipolar bathtub, heels up, tiara crooked, warm water taking me under as I tip my head back wondering how in the fuck I'm still alive. Living with this bipolar gig kinda got in the way of my alcoholism and benzo misuse. Now, in long term recovery with the occasional crazy slip-up, I seem to find my way back to sanity from time to time. Suicide survivor, overdose survivor, self-injury survivor. fuck...TRAUMA survivor. Registered nurse by night, certified peer specialist, trauma informed care educator, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner student, and mental health advocate by day.
