Bio
This blog was started mainly as a daily information post for all of my family and friends after my water broke with my precious rainbow baby girl at just 17 weeks. (I also lost twin boys a year prior at 20 weeks gestation due to incompetent cervix) I had read many success stories of other women who had been through the same complication (pPROM). There's a very supportive forum on BabyCenter and I learned that there is actually this whole protocol to follow to help you continue carrying a baby when your water has broken. I was very determined to have my own success story! I went on strict bed rest, took extra vitamins, drank a gallon of water every day and tried to remain as stress-free as possible in such a stressful situation.
I am proud that I was able to carry my daughter for 7 more weeks, just reaching viabilty. But her life was limited to what little time she had in me. She was born vigorous and alive, but her lungs were not developed enough to take in air.
After I lost her, I felt like this blog really had no more meaning. But now I write as a way to process through my grief. I believe most of my family and friends have moved on. But if you happen onto this site, I hope it's not too depressing. Thank you for reading.
