Bio
Since my teen years, I wanted to improve the lives of others. I considered a career as a Psychologist, Social Worker, Medical Doctor, Physician Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Emergency Management, etc. However, by the time I received my Bachelor's in Psychology and was ready to apply for graduate education, I was spending too much time as a patient to attempt a Masters or Doctorate. There is no FMLA in Graduate School.
I still have the desire to help others. I cannot contemplate a life of Disability Payments. My body may be cantankerous, but my mind is active. This blog was born from my many friendships with other people struggling with chronic illness who tell me I should share with a larger audience. Some of it will be knowledge. Some of it will be hacks. Some of it will be motivational.
I am not a medical professional, nor do I give medical advice. The things I write are based on the experiences of many people who have life altering medical conditions. It is meant to educate and inspire; never to treat. Always discuss any new remedy with your medical professionals before attempting "something you read on the internet".
Most importantly:
Never give in to Hopelessness.
