Bio
I worked on behalf of Senior Citizens for over fifteen years. After working several years in the senior housing industry, I switched my focus to vulnerable adult advocacy in long-term care facilities. I'm now a full-time writer of fiction and non-fiction. I have 2 published novels and although my first novel was traditionally published, I chose to self-publish it once that publishing contract ended. I am VERY happily self-published now.
Additionally, having been the primary caregiver for my father who died from Alzheimer's complications, I was as an Alzheimer's Association caregiver support group Facilitator for five years, guiding families through the difficult process of caring for their loved ones with Alzheimer's and other dementia.
My first novel focuses on the caregiving journey of those taking care of a loved one with dementia. An equal focus is placed on the heartbreaking patients' journey as they experience the gradual loss of their identity to a disease that respects no one. REQUIEM FOR THE STATUS QUO is available on Amazon as an eBook, Audiobook, and paperback. Although you may have to order a copy of my novel, it is also available at your favorite chain or independent bookstore. My second novel, A JAGGED JOURNEY, has angst, humor, and victory mixed in equal measure. A novel for the 21st century!
