Bio
Audrey Hepburns' character in Breakfast at Tiffanys quotes, "I don't want to own anything until I find a place where me and things go together. I'm not sure where that is but I know what it is like. It's like Tiffany's."....
For me, that place is Sephora. Forget the glittering diamonds and shiny silver bracelets, and bring on the shimmering eye shadows and glossy lipsticks. The key to my heart doesn't come in a small blue box with white ribbon, it comes in a black and white back with red wrapping. Hence, the name of my blog was born!
I remember my first trip to Sephora, and the anxiety I felt when I let me best friend Visa pick up the $90 tab. Now, if I spend under $200 I feel like I was bargain hunting. I began to realize the true value prestige cosmetics and skincare offers.
I’m a twenty something college grad, living in the windy city. I'm a self proclaimed cat lady, and if you can hear Taylor Swift on the radio from a mile away, you know I'm close by! I'll also never turn down an invitation to grab Mexican food, I just have to make sure I swipe on some mascara first!
I've been wanting to make the move out to the big apple for quite some time now to begin pursuing a career in public relations in the beauty industry. I majored in Psychology, and all that thinking eventually led me to realize I could make a career out of what I loved! I'd eventually like to attend NYU and study public relations, and begin a career in PR in the beauty industry!
I’ve also become a self proclaimed “beauty guru”, and love that my friends and family come to me for advice on what works, and what doesn’t. I love the thrill when a new product hits the shelves so I try it all and test it all.
I began this blog to share my reviews with the fellow beauty obbessed. I'm here to bring you the good, the bad, and the ugly of what's sitting out there on the beauty shelves!
I'd also love to hear from you! What was worth burning a hole in your wallet? Which products are far from a "must have"? The more we can get our opinions out there, the better prepared we'll be for our next beauty haul trip!
Intill next time...stay beautiful lovelies!
Hattie
