Bio
I am a trained Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher with a meditation practise of almost 30 years. I teach the mindfulness courses by guiding and supporting participants learning. I train with The Centre for Mindfulness Research & Practice (CMRP) at the University of Bangor. I follow the CMRP's Good Practice Guidelines and British Psychological Society (BPS) Code of Ethics (http://www.bps.org.uk/). I am an Associate Fellow of the BPS, also a BPS Chartered Psychologist and Scientist. I began as a nurse, then took degrees in Psychology, Masters in Medicine & Psychology and a PhD at the University of Durham. I became a lecturer at the University London then Kent at Canterbury, returning to Goldsmiths as a Visiting Honorary Research Fellow. My research area is learning and memory in which I continue to publish.
