Bio
Bridget is a Georgetown student who loves all things Hoya. She gives tours of the campus in hopes of convincing prospects that Georgetown is the best place in the world. A high school athlete, she now spends her time playing club and intramural sports and writing for the sports section of Georgetown’s newspaper.
In the classroom, she studies classics and journalism because understanding history, culture and language and being able to critically think and articulate your ideas and beliefs are crucial. There is nothing better than a mentally stimulating and engaging environment; and that’s just what you get at Georgetown.
Though Bridget could be accused of staying within the Georgetown bubble (which, with its speakers, events and opportunities is not necessarily a bad thing…) she does consciously try to get out and explore the nation’s capital. She’s had a few political internships and has attended a number of spectacular, unique-to-Washington events.
Though she cherishes her time on the hilltop, home is where the heart is. Bridget will gladly defend New Jersey against people whose only knowledge of the state is MTV’s "Jersey Shore." In fact, she values her time spent at the real Jersey Shore. In general, Bridget likes to travel. Just returning from a summer and a semester abroad, Bridget is fortunate to have visited 13 countries in the past few months.
In her free time, Bridget likes to read and re-read Harry Potter, cheer on Hoya sports, discuss worldly events while leisurely walking to the monuments and eat birthday cake for breakfast.
